Technical characteristics of the rear window of MG F / TF

Scope adaptable to all MG F / TF

  • Tinted green glass bezel with DOT, set on 6mm thick Mohair Alpaca canvas 
  • Perfectly finished visible rigid plastic crimping
  • Bezel with defrost supplied with the electric cable to connect it to the hard TOP defrost socket
  • Glass bezel dimensions = 85cm x 30cm

2 POSSIBILITIES for MOUNTING the rear window

REAR WINDOW CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS for Rover MGF and TF

  • 1 / Dismantling the old bezel
    Open the top at the front to remove the tension from the canvas.
    to access the window fixing system in the lower part, remove the 5 trim clips which block the carpet under the rear window.
    Remove the foam and the rivets (by drilling them with a suitable drill ) in order to release the rear window in the lower part.
    Open the zipper in the upper part and remove the old rear window.
    A strip of fabric with the second part remains attached to the arch. of the zipper.
  • 2 / Reassembly with the second part of the zipper in GOOD CONDITION
    Match the 2 parts of the zipper zipper.
    Close the zipper to lock the rear window in the upper part.
    Secure the lower part of the convertible top using the rivets provided.
    If necessary replace the gasket 26103 (not supplied).
    It's over.
  • 2 / Reassembly with the second part of the zipper DAMAGED OR in POOR CONDITION
    You will have to dismantle the front part of the convertible top, in order to be able to fix the new rear window on the last arch.
