Until 1999, this magnificent 2-seater convertible, which replaced the short-lived 348 spider (1993-1995) in 1994, received a central V8 increased to 3.5l and 380hp. The Ferrrai 355 Spider, like the 348 Spider of which it is the heir, was launched some time after the production version (1994 for the production version and 1995 for the Spider). The 355 shares its base with the 348 but differs in several ways: its engine (3.5L V8) with 5 valves per cylinder, which is a first for the brand, its Pininfarina design and options such as the F1-style sequential gearbox with steering wheel controls.
