Description

Ferose Rust Converter:

  • Rust curative treatment product
  • Transforms rust and protects the part treated with a resin, in order to prevent the return of corrosion for a long time (including in the marine environment)
  • Aqueous emulsion of synthetic resins remarkably wetting with respect to rust
  • Rapid rust penetration to chemically stop oxidation, and seal the metal throughout its thickness and remove porosity (preventing moisture and oxygen from entering)
  • Very visual result (turn from blue to black) obtained in 10 minutes at 20 ° C
  • Avoids bare stripping
  • Stops oxidation effectively and durably, including by the sea
  • Provides an excellent bonding support for all types of paints, resins and mastics (glycerol, acrylics, polyurethanes, epoxies, SINTOFER-type polyesters, etc.)
  • Allows welding without prior stripping
  • 1 can of 250 ml with a covering power of 12 to 15 m² in the first pass according to the porosity of the rust, and 18 to 20 m² in the second pass always according to the porosity of the rust

Technical service notice

This product is sprayable, but it is preferable to pass this product with a brush to force it to penetrate the porosity of the corrosion.

Instructions for use:

  • Remove friable parts, degrease if necessary
  • Shake the container well and pour a small amount into a non-metallic container
  • Apply with a brush on a dry surface, without excess to avoid runs
  • Do not soak directly in the container or its cap
  • Dust free, dry in 2 hours, putty or paint after 12 hours
  • According to absorption by rust, renew 1 to 3 times after 2 hours
  • Do not put the surplus back in the container
  • Wash the equipment with clean water immediately after use
  • Do not apply Ferose below 10 °
