ToolAtelier®: CO2 combustion gas leak detector

Diagnosing a cylinder head gasket is a complicated exercise. This TOOLATELIER CO2 detector will make your job easier by locating combustion gas leaks in the cooling circuit.

The principle is simple, thanks to a chemical reaction, it detects the presence of CO2 in the coolant and at the same time a cracked cylinder head gasket or a cracked cylinder head.

Directions for use:

Pour the TB00996 test liquid into the upper and lower part of the detector. (Limit symbolized by a line for maximum filling).
After warming up the vehicle with the expansion tank "open", position the tool in place of the cap. Pump with the rubber bulb to suck air from the circuit. Depending on the color variation of the liquid, (blue or green / yellow) you will know if your coolant contains CO2.

The cylinder head gasket leak detection fluid is not supplied with the tool. You will find it under the reference TB00996. It can be reused after each use.
